If you’re new here, welcome! We’re Adrianna and Grant, a husband and wife wedding photography team based in Moab, Utah. We love any chance we get to travel for weddings, and Paige and Silas’s summer celebration at Willow Springs Barn in Harrison, Tennessee was one we won’t forget anytime soon.
The evening before the wedding, we met Paige and Silas on the campus of Southern Adventist University, a place Paige grew up running around as a kid, for sunset portraits. It’s something we always recommend to our couples, and getting to photograph them somewhere that already held so much of her history made it that much more special.
The morning of, all the girls got ready together, and the room reflected exactly who Paige is: warm, close-knit, and full of laughter. Her maid of honor and sister Taylor planned every detail of the wedding, and it showed. First look and family portraits were taken at the home where Paige grew up, which felt like the most natural place in the world for them. And then, right as portraits wrapped, the sky absolutely opened up. Locals said they hadn’t seen rain like that in a long time. Paige’s sisters and best friend closed in around her immediately. The groomsmen jumped into action. Everyone rallied, and there was so much laughter doing it. The ceremony moved into the barn, and when Paige walked down the aisle under the chandeliers with her grandmother’s handmade veil trailing behind her, it was clear that all that really mattered was that these two were getting married. The joy in that room was contagious. Right after the ceremony, the sun came out, and the rest of the evening was golden: portraits, family, friends, and a sparkler exit to close out the night.
Paige and Silas, we are so glad we got to be there for it. Rain and all.
